Hey boys
When you are out and about and you decide to be bold enough to ask a girl for her number and she responds with "why don't I get yours".... yeah that a pretty good sign you aren't going to hear from her. There's a reason we don't want to give our numbers out...
Also just because I apply my lipgloss as we are saying goodbye it does NOT mean I want to kiss you! It means I wasn't thinking and my lips felt like they needed some gloss.. that's all! I realize now that that was some bad timing with the lipgloss but by then it was too late and the question of "can I kiss you" has already been asked..no you may not kiss me! I gave you a hug which was already way more than you should be gettin and besides at the age of almost 30.... I just feel like im too old to be kissing random strangers in bars... especially when I just took your number because I already knew this wasn't going to happen, so peel yourself off of me and back off... mind yo bidness that's all just mind yo bidness!

The "why don't you give me your number" generally works like a charm - gets the message across without making it awkward for either person. Apparently this guy was too dense to get it.
PS: He got the wrong message because you applied some lipgloss. Like seriously when has anyone applied lip gloss before going in for the kiss(ll)? :P

Good advice. Guys pay attention to the lip gloss stuff, so that's good to know it could just be an absent-minded decision and not a come-on.
How, then, might you react if you turn the number question around, but the guy recognizes what you're doing and then just straight-up rejects you altogether? Like...
Guy: Can I get your number?
You: Oh, hey... How 'bout I get your number?
Guy: (an annoyed shake of the head, with a matching put off facial expression, including but not limited to a roll of the eyes) Y'know what? Nice gesture, but no thanks. Nevermind. (Turns and walks away before you can even react)
ER- yeah i really think my lipgloss applying timing gave him the wrong impression for sure... he asked me like right after lol

Brian- Oh yes it was fun and random, there was also this strange dude with sunglasses who tried to talk to me but we wont go into the whole guys who wear sunglasses in clubs thing now.. saved for another post!

I think this should be in the guy manual. LOL. Oh i'm so glad to not be single... i take it back, being single was great, but being taken ahs it's perks too -mainly the fact that i no longer have to evade kisses from weirdos.
