The Secret IS Revealed!

Well remember how I said that Mr.BF couldn't keep a secret so I found out what my xmas present was? Well I finally got my camera back and am able to show you :)

He got me this promise ring *blushes*
Its Garnet (my birthstone) and Diamonds set in 14k gold.

Normally I'm not about my birth stone at all but I actually really love this ring. The thought and love behind it makes it all that much more special.

It was re-wrapped and is now under the tree at his families house waiting for me to be fake surprised lol...

Stay Pretty ;)

The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay PRICELESS!!

Today me and my beautiful city got to experience the once in a lifetime chance of seeing the Olympic torch switch runners and flames.

I left work just before the 12:40pm switch rushed to make it on time, walked across the street to the "spot" only to find a large crowd starting to gather. I felt everyone's excitement and it was catchy!

Even though I went alone I cheered loudly as the torch approached and it was truly and experience I will never forget.

Today especially I am SO proud to be a Canadian!!

Best Christmas Decorations Ever!

So wrong its RIGHT!
muahaha (click to enlarge)
Make sure you read the story below... got this in an email

“Good news is that I truly outdid myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after two days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever. Great stories. But two things made me take it down.

First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by.

Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn’t realize that it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of the many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn’t take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard.”

Thanks AC for this fwd lol...

Is it a surprise when you already know what it is??

That's right folks I already know what Mr.BF is getting me for xmas!
How? Because 1) he cant keep a secret & 2) because he pointed something out while shopping and asked me if I liked it...

My response: "Ew no I hate that"
His face: Ghost white...

dead silence.....

Me desperately trying to retract that statement...
Him getting worried I may not like it and contemplating if he should return it..

Me trying to convince him I'll love it cuz he really did put a lot of thought into it..

Him ending up showing me what it was because he was SO worried I would hate it...

Me actually liking it and wishing I could just shut my mouth sometimes!

I will post what it was with pics when he gives it to me, which will be next weekend cuz he just cant wait lol cute!

Mrs.Keaton from Family Ties is a Lesbian.. Who knew!

NEW YORK -- Meredith Baxter, the actress who played Elyse Keaton on the '80s TV series "Family Ties," has revealed that she is a lesbian.

The 62-year-old actress says that she had a "later-in-life recognition" and has been in a relationship with her girlfriend, a general contractor, for four years.

Baxter has been married three times and is the mother of five children.

She said in an interview on NBC's "Today" show this morning that she is "extraordinarily happy" and that the support from her family and friends was immediate and unqualified.

Well I didnt see that coming!

Today is December 1st... World Aids Day.

World AIDS Day is observed every year on December 1. It was first observed in 1988 after a summit of health ministers from around the world called for a spirit of social tolerance and a greater exchange of information on HIV/AIDS. World AIDS Day serves to strengthen the global effort to face the challenges of the AIDS pandemic.

While the rate of death from AIDS in Canada has declined dramatically it still effects millions in other countries such as Africa. AIDS is killing 6,000 people a day in Africa. No family is unaffected. Employers hire 2-3 people per position, in order to have one trained person still alive to do the job. Shop stewards double as AIDS counselors.

How can I help?
Go grab a Starbucks coffee...simple as that!

Starbucks Coffee Company has announced that on World AIDS Day, Dec. 1 2009, it will make a 5-cent contribution to the Global Fund for every hand-crafted beverage sold on that day at participating stores in the United States and Canada.

The company also said that if customers are unable to make it to a Starbucks store on World Aids Day, they can still be a part of the fight against AIDS in Africa by visiting the company's Web site where they can contribute a drawing in which each participating Starbucks will make a 5-cent contribution to the Global Fund, up to 1 million drawings.
