So the orientation yesterday was ok besides being hit with ice pellets, being late, having my mascara run because my eyes were watering and finding out that everyone else in the orientation was at least 6 years younger than me! But ill talk about school tomorrow today I will finish up my tour of the islands :)
Next on the discover channel was Barbados! We got off this ship and decided to take a quick driving tour of the island where the driver showed us the coast, the town and even a tiny animal farm in the middle of no where. We eventually ended up at Carlisle Bay beach for a short tanning session.

As we set sail that night for St Lucia we celebrated NYE on the ship in the middle of the sea it was awesome. It was one massive deck party with a live band and noise makers and streamers and free champagne... really who could complain?!

Heres a short video I took before the countdown.
It was an awesome night and a totally different experience I must say!
Next we went to St Lucia. We walked the area close to the ships port for a bit and then tried to make the most of this cloudy day at the beach. We had a few lucky sunny breaks but not many...
See the dark clouds?
So my brother got all kinds of towel animals but our cabin guy hated us for some reason so we never got any :(

Just sporting my wanna be Latina look & fergie ponytails!
Thoughts on the beach Au natural!
Next island was Antigua where we once again spent a few hours at the beach. This beach was the best one with soft white sands and no rocks!
I found this sign in town and thought it was funny...
On the ship this night they also had a bathrobe & PJ party which was kinda funny... not that many people participated but if I had known about it I def would have brought cuter pj's lol...
Our last island was St Kits where we made it our goal to get some damn color and tan all day.. Yes this is how I burnt my poor legs.. which im happy to report are not swollen anymore and a lot less red!
Of course we asked the taxi driver to give us a bit of a drive along the coast so we could see some of this amazing island..

I also went jet skiing for the first time ever it was soo much fun! One of those tiny people below is me lol...
Our last stop was our home port back in San Juan Puerto Rico where we actually had a few hours to discover San Juan. We decided to visit an old fort and it was incredible.

This cruise was a blast and although its a totally different experience than an all inclusive resort im so glad we chose this instead :) I must say there were some weirdos on this ship like the young Spanish girl who insisted on carrying around her "bride of chucky" doll everywhere on the ship including formal dinners..

I guess there's always gonna be a few crazies in a group of 4000 huh!
Hope you enjoyed my wrap up of my week in paradise :)
Stay Pretty ;)
Dominica was probably one of my favorite islands. We got off the ship and were hit with the usual market at the ships port and then headed off on a tour of the city. We were taken to an amazing view point where we could see out ship and pretty much the whole town.
We were then taken to a site where we saw a crushed school bus that was the result of Dominicas worst hurricane. We were told that it was the only school bus on the island at the time and there have been no school buses on the island since. They have preserved this crushed bus and in fact the tree is now growing around it.
Lastly we were taken to an amazing rainforest area where we saw 2 stunning waterfalls. The entire area smelled strongly of sulfur as there were sulfur springs around but it was so worth it when we saw the views. We were told that the sulfur in the air has a history of helping the natives of Dominica live longer.
My poor burnt legs :( they are so uncomfy and so swollen lord I hope this gets better before my big birthday weekend!
Anyway as promised here are some pics from the cruise :)
First we start off in San Juan Puerto Rico (this is where 3/4 of the passengers on the ship were from which was weird cuz they all thought I was puerto rican too.. I guess I could pass)
We arrived at about 6pm and headed to this ship below is a pic of me and a fam friend chillin with Mr Jack Daniels at the ships docking port before we got on the ship.
Here is me (im the short one!), my older brother and our friend chillin the first night on the Lido deck at the top of the ship. In the background you can see the massive movie screen.
The first night was just spent discovering the ship not much excitement there. We had an inside cabin room and it was surprisingly spacious. 2 single beds, a tv, vanity, big bathroom and 4 closets not bad for a inside cabin. Dont mind the mess... 2 girls in one room trying to unpack always leads to a mess...
The first stop was St Thomas. This is the place to do all your jewelry shopping. So naturally my mother wanted to hit all the jewelry stores and ended up with some bling rings that I picked out and a diamond bracelet that Im hoping to borrow some day. I on the other hand didnt get anything... I was almost talked into a classic Movado watch and although I really do need a watch I kinda have my eye on a certain charm bracelet watch.
St Thomas is really well known for its jewels and I was amazed at how many big purchases I saw going on around me. I saw one man drop about $400,000 in one go on his wife. He was like 70 and he went on and on about how he cant take his money with him when he dies so he might as well spend it now. His wife looked about 60ish with a ridiculous face lift and although stylish her white capris were just about as high as her implants. I suppose it didnt matter as she was draped in diamonds, sapphires and ruby's head to toe. She sported a 6crt yellow diamond ring surrounded by diamonds (yes I noticed) and he was in there yelling at the poor shop owner to bring out the biggest diamond he had... I was of course fascinated by this all because I have never ever seen someone spend that kinda of money or really ever been that close to so many massive diamonds before. I think I caught myself drooling at some point too.. Anyway it was really fun but it rained on and off all day so it was kind of annoying.
The people in St Thomas are super nice and come from all over including other Caribbean islands, the usa, Canada and even as far away as India.

We went past a outdoor market where counterfeit goods were all over. I was kind of surprised given its a US island but I guess no one cares there.
Also if you are a pimp and need bling this is the island for you!
Its illegal to talk on your cell phone while driving even in the islands..
Here are some pics I took while we were out and about St Thomas.

Although we had to be back on the ship at 4:30pm we still had enough time to discover some of the beauty of these islands and meet some very sweet people. I would totally go back to St Thomas just for the warmth of the people and the jewels of course ;)
Tomorrow I shall post about Dominica & Barbados.
Stay Pretty ;)
And... Im back!!
I had a really good time even though I returned today 5lbs heavier and with 2 very sore burnt legs :( If you were under the impression like I was that brownies cant burn Im here to tell you that you my friend are wrong!
My legs are bright red and swollen which is really so unattractive cuz I kinda dont have ankles anymore lol... Cankles as they call them... dude this swelling better go down I was quite fond of my damn ankles! It was a struggle to put on socks today and the thought of putting on boots was too much to bare so I opted for pumps, thank god its not snowing today!
I have SO many stories from the amazing food to the stunning island tours which included beaches, rainforest's, waterfalls and greenery like you wouldn't believe, to the teeny boppers who snuck into the 18+ disco and dirty danced like they were in a porn or something, to the many 18-22 year old boys who seemed to take a liking to me, to the freaks on the ship ...
I will have to sort through my pics this week and post a little each day as I have lots to share :)
I hope you all had a blast on new years I know I did :) Happy to be home though in some sort of weird way..
Missed you all ;)
Stay Pretty ;)
