There are time when I don't even remember this blog BUT Ive decided to keep it up because every now and then I have the urge to write.

So lets see whats happened since Ive last posted...

My freelance makeup career has taken off and I'm busier than ever and recently found out my work has landed on 5 billboards across Brazil crazy huh?!! I feel so blessed!

In other news....

Well me and Mr25(now 26) aka Mr.BF are still together :O Shocking I know considering my past dating life!

We traveled together last november to Punta Cana, had our first xmas and new years together, partied for both our birthdays, had our first valentines together aww, and the biggest deal we celebrated our 1 year anni on May 7th with a trip to Niagara Falls which was special. He got me a diamond "Journey" Pendant which kinda looks like this...

I'm still happy and crazy in love with a man I never thought would make it past a month simply because of his age...

I have definitely learned that age is just a number.... don't get me wrong there are times when I have to remind myself that hes only 26 and therefore hasn't gone through as many life experiences as me but overall you really cant help who you fall in love with.

He treats me better than any man (including the ones 10 yrs older) Ive ever been with. Hes kind, gentle, honest, loyal and would do anything in his power to make me happy so really how could I ask for anything more right?

There has been some talk of the future but nothing has happened as of yet but you never know right?! ;)

Well I'm not so sure how many people will stop and read this but I just felt I needed to share an update on here.

Ya ya so its Friday the 13th.... I say screw all this "bad luck" shit and lets just call it what it is.... just another freaking day... not just any day... a Friday. The start of a weekend, the day Mr.BF was officially invited to a family dinner at a wicked Mediterranean restaurant and not even by my parents.... he was actually invited by my uncle.

The same uncle who's quite picky about whom he keeps company with. The same uncle that's used to dining with the "upper society" of the world.... I say this only because its a HUGE deal to me. I was super nervous when he met them for the first time (as they are visiting from over seas) last week, but when I heard that they actually liked him I was floored.. in a good way of course.

So tonight Mr.BF and I will dine on a feast with more than my immediate family.

Big things are happening! Whens the last time I've been in this place with someone... oh yeah NEVER!

*sigh*

Well lovely people I'm back from paradise and straight into reality!

We arrived back early Saturday morning and although I miss the pool and sun terribly I'm really happy to be back in my own bed!

Also I'm a routine lover being a Capricorn and all so its good to be back into my daily life.

Anywho here are some pics from my amazing trip with Mr.BF. Btw there were no blowouts from spending 24/7 with each other which is just another sign that we are a good match ;)

We took a private tour with a Canadian guy who's moved down there and he took us to this amazing school where we took school supplies for the adorable children.



We then visited a coffee and cocoa plantation which was quite interesting. They let us sample some chocolate in its natural state which is very bitter and some amazing coffee. In the last pic you can see our tour guide getting schooled from the woman of the house on the coffee beans.




We then took a drive down to Macao beach which was not only beautiful but quite as well. We were one of a handful of people on the beach. After the beach we drove through the city of Higuey where we saw the Basilica of Higuey.



Then we were off to the local farmers market where we saw all kinds of spices, fresh veggies and hand made items for sale.



We visited a wal-mart type of store where I found some interesting snacks. Lime flavored Pringles (amazing), Key lime pie splash gum (very sweet) and my fav cinnamon sugar pita chips SO good!



Our last stop was the Don Lucas Cigar factory. We watched as they rolled and labeled the cigars on tiny tables in a fair sized room right by the entrance.




The resort was stunning and although there weren't many English speaking guests we managed to keep each other from being bored. We celebrated Halloween there and the staff transformed the lobby into a makeshift graveyard it was pretty cool.



There were these amazing lounger beds throughout the resort.


You know to keep Mr.BF a secret ;)
He didn't tan much but at least he didn't burn!



I surprised him with decorating the room with balloons and streamers on his birthday. I'm sneaky :) I brought all the decor from here in my suitcase. I had the hotel staff help with this beautiful towel swan :)



Later that night was surprise #2. I took him off the resort to Punta Cana's #1 restaurant called Jellyfish. It was set right on the beach and with the sound of the waves, the full moon and amazing food it was a night to remember!



It was really really windy out but it worked for this pic lol..


What an amazing trip! We celebrated his birthday, 6 months and a start of hopefully a wonderful life together!

First of all I know I've been MIA, I've just had zero motivation to blog... not really sure why its like 1 year came and I was like Meh... Do you guys ever go through these phases?

Anyway some people have been asking me to blog so here I am... you guys are motivation enough!

So last week i finally managed to arrange a dinner so Mr.BF could meet my parents. I invited my younger brothers wife as he was out of town and then mentioned it to my older brother, who then wanted to bring his GF (whom we haven't really met other than a 2 second Hi-Bye). This is where things got a bit weird.

So not only were my parents meeting Mr.Bf for the first time "officially" (they had spoken a bit before in passing), they were now about to spend the evening with my brothers new gf too....

Anyway it all went well and in the end it took the pressure off both newbies because they weren't the only one being focused on.

After the dinner we parted ways and when I saw my mom the next day she said 3 things...
1) He seems nice
2) It was really nice of him to offer to pay
&
3) Well at least he likes Indian food!

bahaha... YUP at least he likes Indian food... that says to them hes cultured I guess and that's a plus 1 right there!

I'm happy its out of the way now though and they seem to be warming up to the idea that this actually could be something. Things are going really well and what in reality has only been 5 months seems like a whole lot longer... that's a good thing no?

Normally I ditch em, dump em, get bored of em or cant stand em by now!

What happens when...

You have a label maker, a BF who seems to like showing his affection for me & Sensitive skin?

THIS!

This past weekend was a long weekend here in Canada so we got to enjoy Monday off woohoo!

Anyway Friday I went out with the girls for a long overdue "girls night". We ended up at some club which was ok but totally reminded me of going clubbing in high school.

Anyway I decided to try out false lashes for the first time ever and here how it looked... What do you think?

Saturday me and Mr.BF went up to his families cottage for the day. Its about 2 hours away from where we live so I was woken up at 7am with an enthusiastic "GOOOOOOOOOD MORNING, get up get up get up its cottage time!"

I was not impressed with the wakeup call as I had only crawled into bed at 2am from my girls night but was super stoked for the drive.... Yes I'm one of those, who LOVES all the random cows, billy goats and horses along the way up north!

I was going to be meeting his grandfather and a lot of his aunts, uncles and cousins but I wasn't nervous at all... more excited.

We finally arrived and I was welcomed by his gramps with a huge hug... aww how cute :)
It set the tone for the day and I couldn't have felt more welcome or comfortable.

I don't like beer really but, hey when in cottage country do as they do!


We hung out had lunch, he played some guitar for me and then we went on the speed boat for a ride around the lake and so that Mr.BF could go water skiing.

I have never been water skiing let alone seen someone I know doing it so it was cool... the idea of water skiing was out of the question for the rest of us given the hiding sun and weedy waters but Mr.BF was a trooper.
To my surprise he did really well... Who knew!

Oh there he is... and hes OK!!


After the boat ride I needed a nap given the lack of sleep so I lay down with this cute lil guy.. the BFs fams dog "Bear" I heart him!


There was also this dog at the cottage named Murphy... Looks innocent and sweet huh? NOPE! Found out the next day from his mom that Murphy had attacked the neighbours tiny lil dog and he would now need surgery. NUTS!

This weekend was simply a preview of whats to come as we head up to the cottage for the entire weekend in 2 weeks, cant wait!

Can I get an AMEN for short weeks?!!
